Interviews with pupils - Autumn 2015
This term our interviews with pupils have looked at the opportunities that the school is offering using Pupil Premium funding. We are particularly interested in the impact that this funding is having. All of the pupils we have interviewed so far have been able to give examples of how their learning has been supported by the opportunities on offer.
We are going to finish these interviews in September and will be sending our usual report to children and staff when we have spoken to a selection pupils in all year groups.

Summer Show 2015
Key Stage 2 pupils put on an amazing Summer Show and provided family and friends with two evenings of entertainment. Every single pupil put on a stumming performance and I feel certain that we were watching some future stars in the making. Well done to everyone involved and a huge thanks to Mrs Keating and the other staff who spent so much time putting it all together.

Harvest Festival - 23rd October 2014
Well done to everyone who took part in the Harvest Festival today. As usual the singing was exceptional and I enjoyed listening to your poems and readings. We really do have some talented performers at Friarswood Primary School.
What made me most proud was the huge amount of food that you all gathered to donate to the food bank. At Friarswood the pupils and staff are very good at thinking of others and particularly those less fortunate than themselves. Poverty can happen to anyone and can often be found on our doorstep. It is possible that there are families at Friarswood who might need the support of food banks from time to time.
Well done to everybody for thinking of those in need.

Think Pink Schools' Concert - 21st October 2014
Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to prepare for the Think Pink Schools' Concert at St. Giles' Church last night. The children sang beautifully and looked like they really enjoyed themselves. Many parents have said how proud they felt.
Well done to all of the pupils who took part. The pieces chosen were bold and ambitious and those who sang solos in front of a packed church were really brave.
X Factor watch this space!
Particular thanks to Mrs. Keating and Mrs. Potter along with all of the other staff who gave up their time to help. We really appreciate the effort that you all put in to ensure that the children have a chance to take part in this sort of opportunity.
A lot of money was raised for breast cancer research and it was good to know that our pupils have supported such a valuable cause.
